Bol at Brac Island

The island of Brač is the 3rd largest island at the Adriatic coast situated between the city of Split and the island of Hvar.

Bol - an idyllic fishermen's place - with its small bay is located at the southern part of the island. There are many shops, restaurants and taverns in Bol but the most famous is the Dominican monastery with a museum and wine cellar.

Bol is famous for its attractive beaches full of silver-white pebbles like fish eye-whites. Zlatni rat beach is considered to be the most beautiful beach on the Adriatic. With its 1 km long white tongue it stretches towards the neighboring island of Hvar and its tip, splashed by waves, is changed to and fro every now and then. Centuries-old pines are wedged in the roads and paths among the house blocks skirting the beaches.
